<![CDATA[IP Security Capacity Engineer]]> http://www.jobsu.co.uk/display-job/292070/IP-Security-Capacity-Engineer.html

IP Security Capacity Engineer

Our network is growing faster than any other in the UK, so life at Three is pretty exciting. And we've no plans of slowing down. Which is why we need someone who really knows their stuff to make sure every aspect of our network is able to handle the demands of a customer base that keeps on expanding.

In this new role, you'll have an overview of our entire network. So you'll be exposed to everything from IP routing and 3G to switching and security. You'll even get involved in the development and launch of 4G. It's challenging, top-level stuff - and as a network expert, we'll look to you to understand our business needs and make sure we have the capacity to deliver to them. That means working with people across Three to forecast areas for upgrade and reporting to senior stakeholders to recommend solutions and influence roadmaps. You'll also work with project managers, operations teams, vendors and managed service partners to keep key projects on track and resolve the root causes of network issues. All while enjoying a broad range of work and using the latest technology to deliver in an environment that's faster than fast.

Our network is fairly unique, so we won't expect you to know every last thing about Three. We will, however, look for a background in IP design or operations along with solid practical experience of Routers and Switches. All of which will be backed up by CCNA certification and an impressive knowledge of IT. Ideally, you'll be familiar with Cisco and Juniper too - although what we're really interested in is your ability to handle a huge variety of work and build meaningful relationships with everyone from the rest of the Transport design team to our vendors. You'll also have plenty of new ideas, along with the tenacity and passion to see them through. And as well as an understanding of what customers need, you'll have a real appreciation of practicalities like OPEX reduction and scalability.

Three might be the UK's fastest growing network, but good service isn't just about size. It's about speed and quality too. Which is why we also work hard to provide the quickest and smoothest Internet on the move. With affordable pricing and plenty of ways to stay connected, it's not surprising we're such a popular choice for smartphone and mobile broadband users. We're committed to improving things for our customers and it's an attitude that's reflected throughout our business: every single person at Three believes we can challenge, change and lead the mobile communications industry. We're no ordinary telecoms company. And this is no ordinary career. Things move faster at Three.

If you're ready to take things up a gear, click to apply.
